My readers who have been long time followers of The Mommyhood Chronicles know that I’m a firm believer in keeping little ones entertained through various methods outside of using technology. Now, this doesn’t mean I don’t set aside blocks of time where technology is acceptable (30 minutes before dinner, 30 minutes after homework is done and to be determined time frames on the weekends if we’re home bound) however I grew up mostly outdoors or entertaining myself through imaginative play so my kids experience much of the same.

Royalty free nursey rhymes from 'Twinkle Twinkle.' To 'Old MacDonald.' To 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' perfect for babies and young children themed productions. Download ChuChuTV app for Android. Stream online and watch hundreds of kid-friendly learning videos from ChuChu TV.

Aside from seeing how addictive technology has become for children over the last few years, it is also downright exhausting to have beliefs in place that are being constantly challenged by television shows, apps, Youtube, etc. I feel like I can’t look away from my kiddos screen time content even for a second, lest they get their hands on something they shouldn’t. I have tried everything from putting on an online timer for kids. In my years as a parent I’ve had a few of those instances before and they certainly weren’t enjoyable; not to me and certainly not to my little ones.
